The Lightbrush Diaries

Wieder mal habe ich ein neues Spielzeug, für ganz wenig Geld frisch ersteigert in dem bekannten, großen Internet-Auktionshaus. Als alter Blitzlicht  Fan habe ich nun einen Oh-Flash RinglichT Aufsatz. Einfach auf den externen Blitz aufsetzen und schattenfrei im Makrobereich blitzen.

Da kam mir die verlorene Taubenfeder auf dem Gehweg ganz recht. Schnell das Stativ aufgebaut, das Makro aufgesetzt und den Blitz mit Ringlicht installiert. Fertig ist mein erstes Blitzlicht Makro. Soviele Details sieht man mit bloßem Auge normalerweise nicht.

Feathery

Once again I have a new toy, bought for just a little money in the well knowN Internet auction house. Beeing an old Strobist fan now I have the Oh-Flash Ringlite. Simply mounted on the flash, able to take shadow free Macro photographs.

So the lost pigeon feather was a nice found. Just mounted the Tripod, fix the Macroobjektiv, fix the Ringlite on the flash. First Flashlight Macro taken. Not able to see so many details normally.

So wie mir geht es bestimmt vielen, denn manchmal höre ich leise Stimmen, die zu mir sprechen.
Das passiert meistens, wenn ich am Kühlschrank vorbei gehe und die Schokolade darin wispert: Iss mich, iss mich!
Oder wenn ich an meinem Lieblings Fotogeschäft vorbei laufe und irgendein neues, exklusives Zubehörteil ruft: Kauf mich, kauf mich!

Heute morgen war es das Pffffffft meines Deosprays, das zu mir sagte: Fotografiere mich!
Und hier ist das Ergebnis

I think, that most of you know what I mean, when I tell that sometimes I can hear quiet voices, which are talking to me.
Mostly it happens, when I pass the refrigerator and the chocolate inside whispers: Eat me, eat me!
Or when I pass my favourite Photoshop and a new and exclusive gadget cries: Buy me, buy me!

This morning ist was the silent Pffffffft of my dedorant spray which told me: Make a picture!
And here is the result

Schreckliches Wetter, den ganzen Tag regnete es in einer Tour. Ideal, um mit einem Buch und einer Tasse Tee die Zeit zu verträumen. Als ich den gebrauchten Teebeutel wegwerfen wollte, kam mir die Idee zu diesem Foto. Eine kleine Erinnerung an einen freundlichen Teebeutel, der mir den Tag verschönt hat.

Awfull weather, it was raining all over the day. Perfect for dreaming with a book and a cup of tea. As I wanted to throw away the used teabag I had the idea for this photograph. A little reminder of a frienly teabag who beautifies my day.

Strahlendes Weiß und tiefes Schwarz – Hört sich beinahe wie eine Reklame für Waschmittel an.

Dieses Graffiti fand ich auf der Insel Lanzarote an der Uferpromenade in der Haupstadt Arrecife. Die Wand war im strahlenden Sonnenschein so weiß, dass das Licht trotz Sonnenbrille in den Augen weh tat.

Leider verwöhnt uns die Sonne hier in der Heimat nicht mehr mit solchem Glanz. Da bleibt nur die Erinnerung an einen schönen Urlaub und das Träumen von der nächsten Reise.

Übrigens, das ist der 111. Artikel in meinem Blog. Ich finde, das ist ein Grund um mich für alle Besuche und Kommentare zu bedanken.

Bright White and deep black – Sounds like a promotion for a washing powder.

I found this Graffiti on the Island Lanzarote at the waterside promenade in the capital city Arrecife. The wall was so bright in the sunshine that the light hurts my eyes through my sunglasses.

Unfortunately at home the sun don´t shine so bright. So there are only the memories of a fantastic holliday and dreaming about the next journey.

By the way, this is the 111th Article in my blog. In my opinion it´s the right time to say thank you to all the visitors and lots of comments.

Irgendwo in den Weiten des Ozeans hatte der Wind vor Tagen oder Wochen eine kleine Welle in Bewegung gesetzt. Und ich hatte das Glück, in genau dem Augenblick auf den Auslöser zu drücken, als diese kleine Welle einen Stein sanft umspülte, bevor sie am Ufer im schwarzen Lavastrand versickerte.

Somewhere, far away in the Ocean some days or weeks ago the wind put a little wave in motion. And I had the luck just to be there releasing the shutter when the little wave softly covered a stone bevor she thrickled away on the black sandy beach.

Im Südwesten der Insel Lanzarote, nahe des Ortes El Golfo, liegt der Vulkan Montaña del Golfo. Die Westflanke des bis ins späte 18. Jahrhundert aktiven Vulkans ist durch die Kraft des Atlantiks erodiert und ins Meer gerutscht. Daher kann man heute am Rande des Ozeans auf dem Grund seines Schlots spazierengehen.

Vom Ort El Golfo aus führt ein Weg die Flanke hinauf auf den Kraterrand. Von dort oben bietet sich ein schöner Ausblick auf einen inzwischen winzigen grünen Olivinsee und den schwarzen Lavastrand.

Ich hatte das Glück, dass eine einsame Fotografin auf der Suche nach Motiven durchs Bild schlenderte. Klar, dass ich mir diesen Farbtupfer nicht entgehen lassen konnte.

In the Southwest of the Island Lanzarote, nearby the small village El Golfo, lies the Volcano Montaña del Golfo. The Volcano was active until the End of the late 18th Century and the Western flank was erodet by the Atlantik and has slipped into the Sea. So today you can walk at the edge of the Ocean on the ground of a Volcano.

Close to El Golfo a small path is leading up the flank where you will have a beautiful view from the top to a nowadays really small Olivin lake and the black Lava beach.

I was so lucky to see a lonely Photographer looking for photo motifs walking on the beach. Naturally I can´t pass this splash of Color without taking a picture.

Die Zeiten sind rau, das Geld ist knapp, da fällt mir doch ganz spontan das gute alte Wort “Abgebrannt” als Synonym für “Pleite” ein.

Und während die eine oder andere Milliarde mal hierhin, mal dorthin verschoben wird, kann man nur ganz entspannt darauf warten, dass von den hübschen Farben, Schwarz, Rot und Gold auch nur noch ein dekoratives Aschegrau übrig bleibt. Und wem greift man Ende dann wieder ganz tief in die leeren Taschen?

Spätestens, wenn sich draußen die Natur in neuem, makellosem Grün zeigt und alles frisch und sauber wirkt, wird es drinnen Zeit, mit dem Frühjahrsputz zu beginnen. Also frisch ans Werk!

At least since Nature outside is presenting every thing spotlessly fresh and clean it´s time to start with spring cleaning inside. Also, get down to work!

Die älteste heute bekannte Schrift stellt die sumerische Keilschrift dar. Etwa um 3150 vor Christus entstanden, wurde mit dieser Schrift alles dokumentiert, was den Menschen wichtig war. Auf dem Foto ist wahrscheinlich die Urform einer Tabellenkalkulation zu sehen. Deutlich zu sehen sind die einzelnen durch senkrechte und waagerechte Linien getrennten Zellen. Einzig ein Cursor ist nicht erkennbar.

Ist natürlich wieder mal Blödsinn Das Foto zeigt die Rückseite einer kaputten Badezimmerfliese. Aber meine Phantasie ging wieder mal mit mir durch.

The picture probably shows the earliest known Spreadsheat Calculation. Clearly you can see the cells, separated by vertical and horizontal lines. The only thing, you can´t see is a cursor.

O. K., I declare it´s nonsens What you see is the backside of a broken glazed tile. Only my phantasy was running away one more time.

Auf die Dauer hilft nur Power!

Diese Energie geladene Aufnahme habe ich beim Stöbern in meinem Fotoarchiv entdeckt. Schon erstaunlich, welche Schätze sich dort verbergen und auf ihre Entdeckung warten. Leider bin ich beim Archivieren nicht immer sorgfältig vorgegangen und so wird wohl in den unendlichen Weiten der Bits und Bytes noch mancher Schatz versteckt sein und vielleicht nie wieder gehoben werden.

Aber noch ist es nicht zu spät, um gute Vorsätze für das neue Jahr zu beschließen. Hier ist also mein guter Vorsatz: In diesem Jahr schaffe ich Ordnung im Fotochaos. Mal sehen, was draus wird
